England win second Ashes Test

England crushed Australia by an innings and 71 runs to win the second Test and go one-up in the Ashes series at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday.

The tourists surged to victory on the final morning, claiming the last five wickets an hour before lunch.
It was England''s first Test victory in Adelaide since 1995 and their 100th Ashes win overall and puts them in the box seat to win their first Ashes series in Australia since 1986-1987.

Spinner Graeme Swann was England''s hero taking five for 91.

Australia will have to beat England in the third Test, starting in Perth on December 16, to stay in with a chance of winning the series against the Ashes holders.

Match scores: Australia 245 and 304; England 620 for five declared.
